Job description

Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find skilled and dedicated PLC Assemblers in Oakwood, GA.

In this hands-on and rewarding role, you will be responsible for assembling and wiring large industrial control systems, collaborating with technicians, and contributing to high-quality, safety-focused manufacturing projects for a leading industrial refrigeration company. In a Control PLC Assembly job, you’ll be responsible for :

  • Performing PLC and standard control wiring & terminations.
  • Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
  • Assembling and wiring control panels, including 460 V motor controls, 120 V control, and low voltage circuits.
  • Working with large-scale industrial control systems.
  • Maintaining tools and a clean, safe work environment.
  • Adhering to all workplace safety procedures and using appropriate PPE.

What you’ll need :

  • Experience with PLC controls and control networks.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience fabricating motor control panels.
  • Physical ability to operate large tools and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Minimum of 1 year of assembly experience, 5 years of panel building, and 5 years of electrical troubleshooting (preferred).
  • 2 years of experience reading and understanding electrical schematics (preferred).
