Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Specialist to support our trucking operations and contract carrier management. This fully onsite, part-time role involves consolidating and analyzing transportation data, developing reports, and assisting with process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in Excel, experience with Samsara or other fleet management tools, and familiarity with SAP.

Key Responsibilities

Collect, consolidate, and analyze data related to trucking operations, contract carriers, and material movement.

Develop and maintain reports using advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP).

Pull and evaluate data from Samsara, SAP, and other systems to assess truck frequencies, equipment utilization, and material delivery volumes.

Support the implementation of Proof of Delivery solutions for mailing service drivers, including leading small-scale projects.

Provide actionable recommendations to improve efficiency, cost savings, and resource utilization.

Perform ad hoc analyses and reporting as business needs arise.

Complete administrative tasks to support category management and overall trucking operations.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy and clarity of reporting and project deliverables.

Required Skills & Attributes

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP required).

Experience working with transportation or logistics data .

Familiarity with Samsara and SAP strongly desired.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced, part-time environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Highly organized, self-starter with strong attention to detail.

Position Details

Education : Associate’s Degree required

Work Arrangement : Fully onsite; local travel may be required

Schedule : Part-time (20–30 hours per week); flexible work hours between 6 : 00 a.m. – 5 : 00 p.m.

Interview Process : One panel interview, including an Excel assessment
