Freshpack is a custom cheese packaging company that develops and innovates cheese products and packaging. Our products can be found in all 50 states and in most major retailers. Over the past 25 years, our team has grown from 15 to 280+ employees. It is an exciting time to join our team, as we are poised for substantial growth over the next 3-5 years.
Responsibilities
Procurement System and Data Management
- Understand and fully utilize ERP / MRP system (WorkWise) to streamline procurement workflows and reporting.
- Analyze data, maintain data integrity, and provide timely reports tailored to short- and long-term business directives.
- Build and foster collaborative work environment, conduct performance review for the Inventory Control Specialist and the Buyer, and provide ongoing analysis and recommendations for procurement / supply chain process improvement.
- Timely management of non-stock materials to ensure order fulfillment.
- Support cycle counting routine to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Manage tolling report process with Inventory Control Specialist.
- Perform inventory turn analysis (6- and 12-month reports), including slow-mover cleanup; create and enforce customer accountability for raw materials associated with slow moving or discontinued items.
Supply Chain Management
Direct full vendor management process :Evaluate and select vendor partners based on quality, performance, and priceManage vendor performancePerform annual vendor evaluations and vendor back-up planningConduct pricing analysisMaintain quality documentsCultivate deep knowledge and understanding of full supply chain cost of materials.Perform all duties related to Inventory Management, including :Forecasting and lead-time analysisEstablishment of safety stocks and reorder points to ensure materials are available for productionReduction of obsolescence risk from item discontinuations or slow-moving stocksStrategic and tactical purchasingCollaborate with Shipping and Receiving department to manage inbound costs.Hours of Work and Other Details
This position will be generally expected to work 40-50 hours per week (M-F 7 : 00am to 4 : 30pm office hours)This position reports to the CEOThis position will be part of the management teamDirect and indirect reports :One (1) Inventory Control SpecialistOne (1) BuyerOngoing KPI and Project Driven GoalsPresent KPIs for approval to committee before the beginning of each quarter; report results following the end of each quarterQualifications / Skills
Bachelor's in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.5+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, or inventory management.Experience in the food manufacturing or co-packing industry preferred.Demonstrated experience in managing direct reports.Proficiency with ERP / MRP systems (preferably WorkWise).Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.Compensation details : 95000-105000 Yearly Salary
