The Supply Chain Team Lead plays a critical role in ensuring the continuity of global supply for Commercial Product within the Global Logistics team. This position is responsible for the strategic coordination of supply chain logistics activities, with a strong emphasis on cross-functional collaboration, operational efficiency, and proactive issue resolution. The Team Lead will engage with internal stakeholders and external partners, including Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs), freight forwarders, and third-party warehousesto maintain optimal inventory levels and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities :
- Global Supply Continuity : Ensure uninterrupted global availability of Commercial Product through effective planning and execution of logistics strategies.
- Cross-Functional Coordination : Collaborate with internal supply chain teams, CMOs, and external logistics providers to align on production schedules, shipment timelines, and inventory requirements.
- Inventory Management : Conduct regular inventory analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for optimization.
- Exception Management : Proactively identify and resolve supply chain disruptions, delays, or deviations from plan.
- Performance Monitoring : Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
- Partner Engagement : Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners to ensure service level expectations are met and exceeded.
- Process Improvement : Contribute to the development and refinement of logistics processes, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Basic Qualifications :
High School Diploma and 6 years' experience OR Bachelor's Degree and 4 Years' Experience OR Masters' Degree and 2 Years' ExperienceProficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and warehouse management software.Understanding of FDA, GMP, and DEA regulations.Preferred Qualifications :
Familiarity with data analytics tools for performance tracking and optimization.Knowledge of supply chain modeling, forecasting, and risk mitigation strategiesRegulatory & Compliance KnowledgeExperience with pharmaceutical product handling, including temperature-sensitive and controlled substances.Familiarity with DSCSA, SOX Compliance and other compliance frameworks.Certifications (Highly Valued) :
APICS CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management)APICS CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional)Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement certificationLeadership & Soft Skills :

Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
