CIRI is seeking a compassionate and driven Refugee Health & Wellness Coordinator to support refugees and other vulnerable populations facing medical, psychological, and social challenges. This role leads our Preferred Communities program , offering intensive case management while building pathways to healing, stability, and community connection.
What You’ll Do
- Provide intensive case management for up to 33 clients annually, developing client-led service plans and ensuring access to medical, behavioral health, housing, education, and other supports.
- Use trauma-informed approaches to assess needs, reduce barriers, and promote self-sufficiency and wellness.
- Facilitate support groups and community activities around psychosocial wellness, nutrition, and acculturation to foster belonging and resilience.
- Strengthen partnerships with healthcare providers and community organizations to expand resources and services for clients.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and data to support program effectiveness and funding requirements.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (social work, psychology, public health, etc.).4+ years of trauma-informed case management experience , preferably with refugees, immigrants, or survivors of violence / trafficking.Strong problem-solving skills, cultural humility, and the ability to set healthy boundaries.Proficiency in Microsoft Office; comfort with client databases.Valid driver’s license, reliable car, and ability to work occasional evenings / weekends.Language skills (Spanish, French, Arabic, Swahili, or Tigrinya) and knowledge of Bridgeport-area resources a plus.Why Work for CIRI?

Compensation : $44,000 + Benefits (that currently include) :
Medical (Anthem) : 3 copay / deductible options; base plan is $40 / paycheckVision (Mutual of Omaha) : $60 per year; $130 hardware allowanceDental (Mutual of Omaha) : $500 per year; $1,750 annual benefitLife : 1 x Salary to $100K; paid by CIRIVoluntary Life : Available to employees and familyDisability : 60% of earnings; paid by CIRIIdentity Theft : Optional coverage; paid by employeesRequirements :
