At the Strategic Data Project (SDP), we believe that talent is the engine of transformation in public education. Housed at the Center for Education Policy Research at Harvard University (CEPR), SDP is a national initiative that strengthens the use of data in education by connecting forward-thinking organizations with the analytic talent and training they need. As SDP continues to expandhaving trained over 600 fellows and 400 data strategists across hundreds of organizationsthe Outreach Manager's work is fundamental to strengthening our national network and deepening the influence of evidence-based decision making in education.

Qualifications : B.A.
4 yrs. professional experience in the education sector and / or in professional recruiting or admissions.
Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
People management experience.

This position is a term appointment for one year from the date of hire, with a strong possibility of continuation. The position is remote position, however occasional travel is required (10-15%) for workshops, recruitment events, retreats etc.
Additional Qualifications : Demonstrated commitment to mission of transforming the use of data in education to improve student achievement. Strong public speaking / presentation skills. Project management skills. Strong attention to detail. Experience with marketing or communications a plus.
Experience working with education data and / or education research preferred. Advanced degree preferred. Team or staff management skills a plus. Specific experience and track record for recruiting and placing talented and sought-after professionals. Experience developing recruiting pipelines and networks and in evaluating the quality of these pipelines based on yield and other factors. Comfortable being the face of SDP and CEPR in a variety of ways and venues, including social media platforms. Experience and satisfaction working on a cross-functional team. Intrepid pursuer of contacts and ingenuity / creativity in how to develop and formalize a newly emerging profession. Ability to accurately assess problems and develop solutions, excellent written and verbal communication skills.

This position is eligible for 100% remote work. Employees may work from any of the Harvard Registered Payroll States, which currently includes Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Virginia, Washington, and California (CA for exempt positions only). At the discretion of the hiring department, fully remote employees may occasionally be required on-site at a Harvard location. Certain visa types and funding sources may limit work location. Individuals must meet work location sponsorship requirements prior to employment.
