Position Summary :
The Turning Supervisor is a working leader responsible for overseeing all operations within the Turning Department, ensuring parts are produced safely, efficiently, and to Dahlquist’s quality standards. This individual provides day to day leadership to machinists while actively performing setups, programming, troubleshooting, and precision machining work.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical expert with CNC turning and CAM programming experience, skilled in twin spindle, live tooling, and twin turret operations, who can balance production priorities, lead by example, and drive continuous improvement in quality, efficiency, and safety.
Key Responsibilities :
Supervise day to day operations of the Turning Department, ensuring schedule adherence and part quality.
Demonstrate proficiency in Y-axis and live tooling setups, ensuring safe and efficient first-part approvals.
Monitor departmental performance and identify opportunities for process improvement.
