Performs general office duties including scheduling, obtaining guarantor information; answering telephones, inputting patient charges; preparing patient folders and filing medical records. Obtains blood specimens from satellite clinic patients; prepares specimens properly to enable medical technologists to conduct analysis which aid physicians in diagnosis and treatment of infections or diseases. High school graduate or GED - formal training as a medical assistant preferred. Take vital signs and performed EKGs, preferred. Must be a Certified Medical Assistant or pass the Certified Medical Assistant exam within six months of starting. Previous physician office experience required.
