Ultrasound Technologist - Job Overview

Schedule : Monday-Friday (8AM-4 : 30PM)

  • Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret ultrasound images to assist in diagnostic purposes.
  • Ensure clarity of images and adjust equipment as necessary.
  • Guide patients through the ultrasound process, ensuring their comfort and understanding.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of human anatomy and scanning techniques.
  • Collaborate with radiologists to enhance scan protocols.
  • Perform regular maintenance and ensure cleanliness of ultrasound equipment.
  • Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Uphold Legacy's mission and cultural diversity in all interactions.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and safety training.
  • Implement safety measures and handle equipment according to protocol.
  • Adhere to privacy and security standards in line with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • Mandatory BLS / CPR certification.
  • Completion of an accredited sonography program meeting ARDMS eligibility.
  • ARDMS certification in good standing with ongoing education compliance.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in obstetric / fetal ultrasound.
  • Proficiency in collaborative team environments.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
  • Strong organizational and computer skills.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
