RN - Neonatal ICU

Overview : Presbyterian is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team. The RN will provide specialized, high-quality care to critically ill or premature newborns, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. This role requires strong clinical expertise, critical thinking, and the ability to support families during a challenging time. • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to premature and critically ill neonates, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and maintaining specialized equipment such as ventilators and feeding tubes.
• Perform detailed assessments of neonates physical and emotional health, identifying any changes in condition and responding promptly.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team, including neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and lactation consultants, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Provide parental education and emotional support, fostering a family-centered care approach to help parents understand their baby’s condition and participate in their care.
• Utilize advanced NICU technology and equipment to ensure the highest standard of neonatal care.
• Assist in preparing neonates for procedures or surgeries and provide post-procedure care.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure the NICU environment is clean and safe. Qualifications :
• Associate Degree in Nursing
• State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
• BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire
