Engineering Manager (PE)
Job Summary :
Hillpointe is a vertically integrated multi-family development designer and builder, managing projects through the entire lifecycle with in-house engineering and construction teams. The Engineering Manager leads multiple design teams in designing and producing construction plans, technical calculations, reports, and permits for projects in Georgia, Florida, and the Southeast. Essential Responsibilities :
- Oversee the design and production of construction plans and permit documents.
- Mentor engineers, assist in skill development, and participate in hiring processes.
- Ensure QA / QC of construction plan sets in accordance with standards and best practices.
- Maintain licensure and serve as Engineer of Record for construction documents.
- Manage schedules, timelines, and workload of design teams.
- Provide construction administration services, including meetings, reviews, inspections, and verification.
- Coordinate with agencies, engineers, architects, project teams, contractors, and owners.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Director of Engineering.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering practices aligned with company mission.
- Act as Engineer of Record for projects under supervision.
- Conduct due diligence reviews and manage key tasks including earthwork and water models.
- Attend public meetings during rezoning and final engineering phases.
- Identify employee growth areas and training opportunities.
- Drive design and permitting processes, address questions, review comments, and develop resolution plans.
- Track and report project status to the Director of Engineering Services.
- Seek assistance for non-design issues as needed.

Expertise in civil-site project design, including grading, utilities, hydrology, hydraulics, and roadway design.Excellent communication, attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, capable of working independently and in teams.Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.Minimum 6 years of relevant experience.Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Hydraflow / ICPR or equivalent, WaterCAD, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and Smartsheets.PE license in Florida is required.Knowledge of site grading, storm drainage, erosion and sediment control, and stormwater design principles.Note : This document provides a general outline of the role.
