Our client located in northern Iowa is seeking a full-time, permanent Bariatric NP / PA to join their established team of physicians and APPs. This opportunity consists of a mix of inpatient surgeries and outpatient clinic responsibilities with no call. The ideal candidate is a certified physician assistant or licensed nurse practitioner with at least one year of experience, however, new graduates will be considered. This opportunity includes a sign on bonus + relocation assistance!

Responsibilities of the Bariatric NP / PA :

• A mix of inpatient / outpatient / clinic / surgery responsibilities
• No call
• Assesses, plans, and provides patient care under the supervision of a physician
• Examines patient, performs comprehensive physical examinations, and compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination
• Orders and interprets appropriate laboratory and radiographic tests
• Participates in daily patient rounds, writes progress notes, conducts patient education, counsels on preventative care, assists in surgery, writes prescriptions, and prepares discharge summaries.
