Salary : $68,800-$72,800 or per diem
Position Summary :
Part Time or Full Time options!
The OT will provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to preschool-aged children in our inclusive classrooms. This professional will work closely with teachers, families, and support staff to implement individualized goals and help ensure each child reaches their full potential.
Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the OTA will assist in delivering direct therapy services to preschool-aged children in alignment with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Services will be provided within the classroom and / or one-on-one, depending on the childs needs.
Responsibilities Include :
- Creating treatment plans and goals in accordance with the student's IEP
- Implementing treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist (OTA)
- Supporting children with fine motor, sensory, and self-help skill development
- Collaborating with teachers and staff to embed OT strategies into classroom routines
- Documenting progress and assisting in preparation of reports and updates for IEP reviews
- Assisting in maintaining therapy materials and creating adaptive supports for classroom use
- Participating in team meetings, CPSE conferences, and parent communications as needed
Qualifications :
Masters degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from a program accredited by ACOTE or registered by the New York State Education Department (NYSED).Licensure : Current New York State license (or eligibility for licensure) as an Occupational Therapist.Associate's Degree from an approved Occupational Therapy Assistant Program (OTA)Experience with young children, preferably in an early childhood or educational settingFamiliarity with IEPs and the special education processStrong communication and collaboration skillsA passion for child development and inclusive educationWhat We Offer :
