Key Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Scheduling Coordinator - CNA generates, manages, and updates master schedules while making adjustments as needed according to budgetary constraints, census fluctuations, call-in, FMLA and leaves of absence.

Duties and Responsibilities
Comply with the Community’s personnel, safety, and corporate policies and procedures.
Comply with the nursing department’s policies and procedures.
Report witnessed / allegations of resident abuse / neglect immediately to the Administrator.
Treat residents, family members, visitors, and team members with respect and dignity.
Maintain the confidentiality of all resident and family information.
Report to work on time and as scheduled.
Create and maintain six week, master schedule with adherence to federal and state regulations.
Post schedules at least two weeks prior to the beginning of the next schedule.
Fill staffing vacancies in advance to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts.
Maintain a current list of employee names and numbers for call-ins.
Distributes revised schedules and posts at designated areas.
Processes requests for shift changes, ETO or other request offs.
Notify Director of Nursing of short staffing situations; contact replacement staff and modify schedule when required. Keeping meticulous attendance records and provide to DON for progressive disciplinary process if staff members accrue excessive absences and / or tardy.
Communicating with unit managers and the director of nursing regarding floor orientation scheduling for newly hired employees in the nursing department.
Assist with planning staff meetings and in-service education with DON and / or Administrator.
Participate and cooperate with any facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies as requested by the Administrator or DON.
Knowledge of overtime regulations.
Employee must develop and maintain a good working relationship with co-workers and other departments. Per the Administrator, assist in interviewing nursing applicants and assist in new hire orientation.
Assist in the dining room for meals; assist on the floor when needed.
Ability to communicate effectively with residents, their families, and all others in the organization.
Adheres to dress code, appearance is neat and clean.
Maintains regulatory requirements.
Wears identification while on duty, uses computerized punch time system correctly.
Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner.
