About The Position
Job Title : Respiratory Therapist
Profession : Cardiopulmonary
Specialty : Respiratory Therapy
Duration : 13 weeks
Shift : M-Th 10-hour days with call on Fri, Sat, and Sun; then switch to nights M-Th 10-hour days with Fri, Sat, and Sun off
Hours per Shift : 36 guaranteed hours
Experience : Minimum 1 year experience in clinical setting, or new graduate with strong recommendations
License : Active and current licensure in the state as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
Certifications : Must possess ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP within 6 months of hire
Must-Have : PFT experience
Description :
Provides care, assessment, and delivery of respiratory therapy to individuals as requested by a physician.
Care will be provided in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, emergency services, and home care.
Individual must be able to work with minimal assistance in procedures such as intubations, aerosol delivery, and patient assessment and care planning.

Position Qualifications :
High school graduate or equivalent with a minimum of an associate’s degree in Respiratory Care.
Minimum 1 year experience in a clinical setting, or new graduate with strong recommendations.
Must possess ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP within 6 months of hire.
Must be OSHA Respirator Fit Testing certified within 3 months of hire date.
PFT experience is a must.

Answers phone calls and assists the public in a professional and friendly manner.

Adheres to dress code; appearance is neat and professional.
Completes annual education requirements if applicable.
Maintains regulatory requirements.
Wears identification while on duty.
Attends annual evaluation and participates actively in this process.
Reports to work on time and as scheduled; completes work in designated time.
Attends all meetings as appropriate.
Working Conditions :
Willingness to work beyond normal hours and in other positions temporarily when necessary.
Involves interactions with personnel, visitors, and government agencies when necessary.
Must function independently and have personal integrity, flexibility, and the ability to work effectively with others.
Physical Requirements :
Sits, stands, bends, lifts, walks, and moves intermittently during working hours.
Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
