A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER

As an Assistant Project Manager, you are vital to the successful coordination and execution of our work! Under the direction of the project manager, you perform a wide variety of tasks that keep our day-to-day activities going smoothly. Before starting a project, you submit orders and create submittal packages, promptly generating estimates for any changes. You review contracts to determine what materials we'll need for the job and proactively order supplies. Thinking strategically, you develop plans to improve our processes and identify reliable, fast sources for materials and equipment. As you learn our different plumbers' strengths, you build strategic schedules and teams that optimize our output and increase our efficiency.

While your team completes the projects, you conduct regular quality checks and effectively manage any subcontractors. If any onsite issues arise, you quickly address and resolve the situation. Attentive to detail, you maintain accurate documentation for every project, including items such as owner manuals and warranties. When asked, you also prepare requests for information (RFIs) for contractors, architects, and engineers. You take pride in effectively coordinating our projects and serving as an invaluable member of your team!
