Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Telemetry Discipline : RN Start Date : 12 / 15 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel Position : Registered Nurse - RN Telemetry Unit : ACU - Telemetry, medsurg Duration : 13 weeks Weekly Gross Pay : $2680 / Week Schedule : 7 pm to 7 am Weekend Requirement : Every other Weekend Job Description We are seeking an experienced RN to join our Adult Care Unit (ACU), a dynamic 50-bed department that combines Telemetry, Med-Surg, and DOU-level care. This unit cares for a diverse patient population, including post-surgical, orthopedic, cardiac, and general medical patients. Nurses on this unit must be confident in telemetry monitoring, able to interpret cardiac rhythm strips independently, and comfortable managing patients requiring BiPAP or CPAP. The environment is fast-paced and highly collaborative, supported by a dedicated charge nurse, 24 / 7 respiratory therapy, and 24 / 7 pharmacy. Cerner is used for charting, and nurses are expected to manage their own IV starts, as no IV team is available. This is an excellent fit for a strong Telemetry or Med-Surg RN who is adaptable, confident in rhythm interpretation, and comfortable caring for a range of acuity levels within a supportive team environment. Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to adult patients including post-surgical, orthopedic, cardiac, and general med-surg populations. Perform ongoing patient assessments and promptly respond to any changes in condition. Independently read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips using Phillips telemetry monitors. Monitor patients on telemetry and recognize arrhythmias, abnormalities, and urgent rhythm changes. Administer medications safely, including non-titrating drips such as Cardizem and Amiodarone. Manage respiratory support equipment including BiPAP and CPAP. Start and manage peripheral IV access in the absence of an IV team. Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in Cerner EMR. Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, RT, pharmacy, and other interdisciplinary team members. Must be comfortable with Bipap / Cpap; travelers will not work in DOU vent areas Maintain safe and appropriate patient ratios while adhering to all facility safety and regulatory Requirement 2 years of experience in Med-Surg and Telemetry BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must independently read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips Experience with Cardizem and Amiodarone (non-titrating) Must be comfortable with Bipap / Cpap; travelers will not work in DOU vent areas About 3B Healthcare Inc.
