The Prep Cook will assist in the preparation and cooking of food, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency. This role is integral in supporting kitchen operations, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to food safety standards.
Requirements :
- Exemplify the Triple T Hospitality Experience : Dedicate oneself to delivering GREAT guest service, consistently going above and beyond for both team members and guests.
- Must have weekend availability, including Sundays.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients and support cooking operations : Wash, chop, measure, and organize ingredients according to recipes and standards.
- Ensure consistency and quality in all prep work to support smooth kitchen operations.
- Follow portion control guidelines to minimize waste.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep and kitchen areas.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of prep stations.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies; report shortages to the Assistant Kitchen Manager.
- Conduct regular checks to ensure freshness and proper storage of ingredients.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Implement kitchen safety protocols to create a secure working environment.
- Ensure prep tools and equipment are cleaned and maintained properly.
- Team Collaboration :
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist in training new prep team members.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED :
Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment.Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques.Ability to follow recipes and portion control guidelines.Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Experience in a high-volume restaurant setting.Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools.Fast-paced restaurant environment.Requires standing for extended periods.May involve lifting heavy objects.
