EDUCATOR

Summary

Full-time Educator, M-F 30-35hrs, $16-18/hr.

Duties

Job Description (includes, but not limited to):

• Supervise and monitor the safety of children while providing a nurturing and stimulating environment that encourages growth and development
• Implement a daily schedule of learning activities to meet physical, emotional, social, and intellectual needs of children to maintain throughout the day
• Build rapport and communicate effectively with families regarding child’s progress, interests and any challenging behaviors that may arise
• Utilize TN ELDs for guidance in creating monthly curriculum and weekly lesson plans to promote academic excellence
• Upkeep observations, assessments, art work, etc in child’s portfolio to present during parent-teacher conferences bi-annually.
• Demonstrate patience, empathy, and understanding in interacting with children
• Assist in diaper changing and/or toilet training
• Physical ability: lift up to 50lbs; sit or stand for long periods of time; walk, run and go up/downstairs
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom by cleaning, sanitizing, sterilizing toys and all surfaces, removing trash
• Log daily report and upload activities unto the Procare app
• Participate in on-going trainings (zoom, off-site, etc.) and mandatory monthly staff meetings

Requirements

• Ability to pass background check
• Reliable transportation
• Passion and patience for children
• Experience working with the youth and/or ECE
• Classroom management
