Overview
The City of Riverside, Finance Department is accepting applications for the position of Finance Director (Non-Classified) to fill one (1) vacancy. Under executive direction, the Finance Director administers the financial and treasury affairs of the City of Riverside and oversees centralized services such as purchasing, risk management, budget, business tax, payroll, debt and treasury, central stores, and general accounting. The department manages the City’s revenues, expenditures, investments, purchasing, accounting, budgeting, and debt portfolio. Provides strategic leadership in the development, implementation, and administration of the City’s operating and capital improvement budgets.
Responsibilities
Education and Experience
Education : Equivalent to a Bachelor\'s Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in finance, accounting, business administration, economics or closely related field.
Experience : Ten years\' progressively responsible administrative and management experience in accounting and financial work, preferably with at least 5 years at the executive level.
Highly Desired Qualifications
Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) .
