Responsibilities
- Pre-sales technical support for customer account engagements including documentation / best practices and training to ensure a high-quality design and minimal post-sales technical support issues
- Pre- and post-sales management of technical account engagements as a key member of the sales team to ensure comprehensive design, installation and operational plans are developed and communicated to drive ESS solution adoption and ongoing business growth
- Pre-sales technical support for utility-scale and commercial projects, and customized design support to ensure Gotion design wins and high-quality designs that save customers cost
- Engage with Research and Development and Product Management to address identified product / technical issues and provide recommendations for product improvements; contribute to market training and tools
- Coordinate field testing and feedback collection for new hardware and software
- Work with Customer Support to ensure a closed-loop system on key technical and product issues and maintain high customer satisfaction, especially with top installers
- Lead engagement with customers on application of ESS systems and collaborate with partners for balance of system equipment providers, software / EMS integration and EPC
- Develop technical documentation to support the portfolio of ESS products, including technical specifications, manuals, safety certifications, and technical diligence proposals

Work with Sales Managers to deliver high-quality field / customer technical support to enable account and project wins and ensure top-tier customer supportCollaborate with the sales team to prioritize account / project opportunities relative to available technical resources and ensure close coordination with the customerLead and manage tasks in the technical pipeline to ensure qualified projects receive appropriate pre-sales design and technical supportCollaborate with China-based R&D, design and pre-sales teams to ensure ESS products are prepared to win businessCollaborate with Product Management on technical tools and training and drive adoption through the sales team, partners and distributorsAct as the sales focal point for input to product management on major product and technical issues and proposed solutionsManage a closed-loop process with product management, customer support and sales on all pre-sales topics and issuesQualifications
BSEE, BSME or MS preferred3+ years of experience in ESS engineering / design pre-sales support and project managementAbility to communicate complex technical subject matter effectively with external partners and customersStrong networking and communication skillsAbility and willingness to travel locally, domestically and internationallyBase pay is one part of our total compensation package at Gotion and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this role is $80,000 - $120,000 USD and will depend on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
