Quality Assurance Lead (Spectrum Metalcraft)

The Quality Assurance Lead will ensure that Vortex maintains its level of high-quality equipment and custom fabricated parts. This position will support continuous improvement and operational excellence within the QA department at Vortex.

• Duties include : confirming quality or products
• Train and cross-train
• Ensure standardized work is being followed
• Create standardized work procedures
• Engage in ongoing continuous improvement projects
• Inspect incoming materials
• Become familiar with operations manuals, engineering drawings, customer order specifications, and source inspections
• Oversee calibration program
• Participate in quality process audits
• Assist in the disposition of nonconformances

Requirements

Technical training and or work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, but we'll train the right candidates too. Knowledge or experience using calipers, micrometers, and profilometers, etc. Understanding manufacturing processes including welding, press brake, paint, and laser machining. Strong computer skills and knowledge of ISO 9001 : 2015. Understanding of lean concepts a plus.
