Job description

Retail Sales Supervisor

Staples is looking for a Retail Sales Supervisor to champion customer engagement and oversee front-of-store operations. You and the store team will focus on increasing sales, conversions and service throughout the store, while actively engaging customers to provide complete solutions. Hiring immediately.

Responsibilities

  • Provide peer coaching and support to the store team to drive customer service, sales, and conversion.
  • Focus on delivering an exceptional store experience through consultative selling and total solutions for every customer.
  • Own weekly sales and merchandising activities.
  • Perform Floor Leader role, directing the team to deliver a great customer experience.
  • Champion company initiatives, remain adaptable to change, and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Assist with completing and delegating operational tasks in partnership with the GM.
  • Deliver role-playing and feedback to coach the team on behaviors that win and create results.
  • Remain available and always support an engaging environment.
  • Complete daily merchandising and sales tasks within the store.

    • Essential Skills and Experience

  • Flexible schedule to meet store needs.
  • 1+ year experience selling retail products or services.
  • Strong customer engagement and needs-analysis skills.
  • Effective communication, organization, and adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Experience coaching or supervising a retail team.
  • Ability to work in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
  • Conflict management in a reasonable, nonconfrontational manner.
  • High integrity and honesty regarding customer and business information.
  • Ability to lift / move materials in the 10–50 pound range, climb ladders, stand, and walk continuously.
