General Summary of Position :

The Director of Research & Learning leads the University Library’s Research & Learning department which develops and implements strategic research, instruction, and programing models that support the University’s educational and scholarly endeavors and includes strategic planning for the Center for Lowell History in collaboration with the Head Archivist. A key member of the Library Leadership Team, the Director for Research & Learning manages UML Library operations in the Dean’s absence, contributes expertise and knowledge of trends in research and learning in the academic library setting, collaborates with colleagues across campus at a high level (e.g., deans, directors, department chairs) on initiatives that support emerging needs (e.g., digital scholarship, open educational resources [OERs], data management including research and cultural heritage, faculty research support, and library collections / spaces), and oversees initiatives that connect learners and researchers with the resources of UML Library, including the rich archival holdings of the Center for Lowell History.

This is a full-time, benefited SEIU union position in grade P23 . Salary range minimum : $114,152, 25th quartile $131,275 and midpoint of $148,398.
