The Assistant Team Leader provides leadership for the successful operation of the entire front-end of the store. Responsibilities include associate development, customer service, asset protection, and store maintenance. Primary responsibilities include managing payroll budgets, ensuring store standards and compliance, maintaining the front-end and exterior of the building, providing daily tasks and support to associates, organizing office areas, supporting the door to floor process, completing operational risk assessments, leading safety meetings, ensuring customer service standards, completing price changes, coaching, training, developing, evaluating, supervising, and scheduling store associates, performing all team leader functions, providing leadership regarding donation programs, assisting with hiring and recruiting, and completing any additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, minimum of 1-2 years of retail experience in a supervisory role, ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis, ability to read, write and speak English, ability to manage in a professional work environment, ability to exercise sound judgment, ability to preserve confidentiality, accuracy and attention to detail, ability to organize and prioritize tasks, knowledge of industry terms and processes, ability to communicate information and delegate tasks, outstanding interpersonal and listening skills, and a positive attitude.
Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, push and pull up to 35 pounds, stand for extended periods, bend and twist frequently, grip, reach, and pinch with arms and hands frequently, squat, kneel, balance, and climb occasionally, and see, hear, and speak regularly. Must have the ability to operate a motor vehicle and have a valid state issued license.
