How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, visitors, and property through proactive monitoring and timely response to security threats.

• Investigate and document incidents, manage safety hazards, and ensure compliance with emergency and disaster preparedness policies, including participation in drills and simulations.

• Train and mentor staff on environment of care and emergency management procedures to promote campus-wide safety awareness and preparedness.

• Perform foot and vehicle patrols, enforce traffic and parking regulations, report safety or equipment concerns, and operate security vehicles safely and responsibly.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Drivers License obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Any State DL is accepted.
• BLS Provider. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted preferred.
• Security Guard credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation preferred
• Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC) card preferred

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
