SSM Health is seeking a compassionate and collaborative outpatient psychiatrist to join our behavioral health team in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. This position offers a flexible schedule, a supportive practice environment, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a community-focused setting.

Key Highlights

32-hour workweek with flexible scheduling

Option to work remotely one day per week

Outpatient-only practice with no inpatient responsibilities

Average of 10–12 patients per day

The patient base is largely established, offering continuity of care with a minimal number of new patients.

Call rotation of 1 : 9, which involves managing patient messages and medication refills for providers on PTO, during business hours only

Integrated care model with experienced support staff

Epic EMR for streamlined documentation and coordination

Responsibilities

Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing treatment for a diverse outpatient population

Prescribing Suboxone, Clozaril, and LAIs will be required occasionally; comfort with these medications is ideal

Coordinate care with internal team members

Participate in call rotation

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system

Qualifications

MD or DO with board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry

Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Wisconsin

Strong communication skills and a commitment to patient-centered care

Comfortable working in a team-based, collaborative environment
