Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a Senior Instrumentation & Controls Project Engineer / Manager for our Tempe office. Candidate will lead I&C system engineering services and designs for the water and wastewater industry. This will managing include both in-plant and remote telemetry (SCADA) projects with the potential for HMI / PLC programming / configuration work.

Key Responsibilities :

Preparing Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), control system network diagrams, control panel wiring diagrams, equipment layouts, and installation details.

Site visits, client workshops and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Coordinating with the other disciplines (process / mechanical, structural, architectural, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and site civil).

Performing quality reviews of BIM models, Revit families, and CAD based files used in the production of contract documents.

Inspect, witness equipment testing, and approve of I&C work provided by contractors at water and wastewater facilities.

Required Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in engineering

Knowledge of water / wastewater or industrial process instrumentation and equipment.

A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience

Must know how to use AutoCAD, or AutoCAD Plant 3D

Control system software configuration / programming

Electrical design experience is a plus.

Strong verbal, writing and interpersonal skills are essential for coordination with other disciplines, and client interface.

PE License or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment

Preferred Qualifications :

Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in engineering
