Senior Field Operations Specialist

General Responsibilities :
SI-BONE is seeking a Senior Field Operations Specialist to lead and optimize our global fulfillment operations, ensuring world-class support for surgical procedures through efficient, compliant, and timely delivery of medical products and assets. This role provides advanced operational oversight across fulfillment, asset and loaner kit management, and field inventory performance within both commercial and clinical channels.
This individual will serve as a key point of contact for process escalations, act as a mentor to junior team members, and collaborate cross-functionally to improve operational workflows. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in medical device operations, a strong understanding of regulatory requirements, and demonstrated leadership in supply chain execution. Candidate must be able to work until 5 : 30pm EST.
All duties must be performed in compliance with worldwide regulatory requirements as included in the scope of the SI-BONE Quality Manual.
Key Responsibilities and Skills :
Oversee and execute end-to-end order processing using QAD, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office tools to ensure timely and accurate delivery of surgical assets (trays, totes, disposables, kits, instruments, and implants).Analyze fulfillment trends and proactively identify risks to surgical case support; implement corrective actions as needed.Serve as SME (Subject Matter Expert) in fulfillment best practices and cross-functional coordination with warehousing and logistics partners.Manage and improve reverse logistics workflows to ensure prompt and traceable returns of borrowed and loaner assets.Partner with field teams and 3PLs to reduce turnaround time and increase asset availability.Lead strategic planning and execution of the loaner kit program, ensuring geographic alignment and procedural readiness.Drive optimization efforts to increase utilization, reduce idle time, and enhance kit availability.Maintain rigorous inventory accuracy for non-kitted implants and consumables.Enforce approval workflows and support urgent fulfillment needs with minimal delay.Act as senior liaison with field sales, clinical teams, and customer service to resolve escalated issues related to product delivery and availability.Lead customer-facing order fulfillment communications and reporting.Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives across fulfillment and asset operations.Ensure all operations align with quality system requirements and regulatory standards (FDA, ISO, EU MDR).Support internal and external audits as needed.Mentor junior Field Operations Specialists; provide training, guidance, and support to elevate team performance.Contribute to SOP creation and revisions related to fulfillment and inventory management.Qualifications and Attributes :
5+ years of experience in field operations, fulfillment, or logistics, preferably in the medical device industry.Proven expertise in inventory management, loaner kit coordination, and order processing in a regulated environment.Strong working knowledge of QAD ERP, Salesforce CRM, and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).Demonstrated experience working with quality systems and regulatory frameworks including ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR 820, EU MDR.Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, remote environment with cross-functional teams.APICS, CSCP, or other supply chain certification strongly preferred.Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field is preferred.Salary range : $59,000 - $66,000. The compensation range for this position is specific to the location and is in good faith what SI-BONE expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
