Facility Maintenance Planner and Scheduler

Job Description Summary

The Maintenance Planner / Scheduler is responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing comprehensive maintenance activities for a designated production area. This role is part of a team that owns the overall success of equipment readiness and serves as the critical link between maintenance execution and strategic maintenance management. The position focuses on building optimized maintenance schedules, managing the Maximo CMMS system, coordinating resources, and driving continuous improvement to maximize equipment reliability and minimize unplanned downtime.

Job Description

Planning & Scheduling

• Develop and manage daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance (PM) schedules using staggered / level-loaded strategies to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
• Prioritize corrective and preventative maintenance work orders in Maximo based on safety, criticality, and operational impact.
• Coordinate detailed work packages and job plans with operations schedules to minimize disruptions.
• Track backlog and ensure visibility on upcoming work to align work management.
• Optimize craft utilization through effective scheduling and visual management tools.
