Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Med Surg Discipline : RN Start Date : ASAP Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, days Employment Type : Travel Staff Nurse – PCU Unit (Med / Surg Telemetry) Location : Washington Courthouse, OH Shift : Day Shift | 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM ⏳ Hours : 36 hours / week, every other weekend Position Overview : The Staff Nurse, RN, provides professional nursing care by applying nursing skills and processes to develop, implement, and evaluate patients’ plans of care. The nurse works collaboratively with the care team, physicians, and patients / families to achieve optimal patient outcomes , while supporting the hospital’s mission to care, heal, and educate. The RN will be the primary caregiver for 5–6 med / surg telemetry patients, making independent and collaborative decisions in patient care, with access to confidential patient information. Key Responsibilities : Provide direct patient care for med / surg telemetry patients. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans. Collaborate with physicians, patients, families, and other care team members. Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and perform procedures as needed. Document patient care accurately in compliance with hospital policies. Support patient education and promote a safe and healing environment. Experience Preferred : Pneumonia management Chest pain care Tracheostomy care Deconditioning management Qualifications : Active RN license in Ohio BLS required Previous med / surg telemetry experience preferred “We are an equal opportunity employer.
