If so, the Developmental Disabilities Services Division is looking for motivated, highly skilled individuals to fill two newly developed Data Manager positions.
These positions require candidates to serve as the Division's experts and leads related to data collection and analysis. In addition to routine reporting for program management, development quality assurance, and ad hoc reporting, the main responsibilities would include analyzing complex financial and service delivery data sets related to forecasting and budgeting, quality assurance and compliance and program planning.
The DDSD Data Managers are responsible for providing responsive, high-quality collaboration with a variety of internal and external parties, including Department and Agency leadership, the Developmental Disabilities Services network of providers, individuals with lived experience and advocates to ensure well-coordinated services and adequate transparency.
Potential candidates will be individuals that are able to work effectively and collaborate with different internal teams in addition to individual work. Experience working with individuals with disabilities, knowledge of state and federal rules and regulations relating to intellectual and developmental disability, good communication skills, and proficiency with data analysis products are essential.

Environmental Factors
Work is performed in a standard office setting, but travel may occasionally be required for which private means of transportation should be available.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree or higher in data analytics / management, statistics, or a related field AND four (4) years or more of experience in a human services program, public health program or in emergency medical services administration, or other similar healthcare or medical administration or research setting.
OR
High school diploma or equivalent AND six (6) years or more of experience in data analytics in a human services program, public health program or in emergency medical services administration, or other similar healthcare or medical administration or research setting.
Preferred Qualifications
A masters or bachelors degree in data analytics, statistics or a related field
Advanced proficiency in data analytics using statistical packages and database management applications with complex data sets.
Experience as a supervisor
Special Requirements
Candidates must pass any level of background investigation applicable to the position. In accordance with AHS Policy 4.02, Hiring Standards, Vermont and / or national criminal record checks, as well as DMV and adult and child abuse registry checks, as appropriate to the position under recruitment, will be conducted on candidates, with the exception of those who are current classified state employees seeking transfer, promotion or demotion into an AHS classified position or are persons exercising re-employment (RIF) rights.
