Job description

Insight Global is seeking a local contract Surgical Technologist Senior for a local contract job in Houston, Texas.

Job Description & Requirements

  • Shift : 8 hours, days

Position will rotate between locations. Only one location per day.

    • Job Description :

  • Works in collaboration with the Registered Nurses to provide care of the surgical patient in the OR suite.
  • Prepares the instruments for each surgical procedure. Scrubs in on surgical cases to prepare instruments and assists the surgeon.
  • Assists in room turn over and are responsible for instrument decontamination. Contributes to the orientation of new surgical technician’s.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development as it relates to specific age groups.
  • This position works as needed to provide staffing for the ASC OR.

    • This position serves the following age groups : Infant, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric.

    Required Education : Graduate from a surgical technology program which is CAAHEP or ABHES accredited.

    Required Experience : Three years surgical tech experience B. Ambulatory Surgery Center or hospital

    experience.

    Licenses

  • Required : BLS
  • Preferred : CST

    • Special Skills

  • Required : Mastery of advanced Surgical Tech skills and extensive knowledge of at least one specialty service; Basic computer skills
  • Preferred : Experience in multi-specialty services

    • Required Education : Graduate from a surgical technology program which is CAAHEP or ABHES accredited.
