Position Summary

The NDT Inspector is accountable for the quality cost and schedule of inspection operations for as-received work-in-progress (WIP) and final inspections. Inspection scope includes repaired and new make parts for both turbine engine parts and power generation package parts.

Position Responsibilities

• Receive orders and validate part quantities and completeness of instructions.
• Perform dimensional inspection.
• Perform Visual Testing (VT) Fluorescent Penetrant Inspections (FPI) / Liquid Penetrant Inspection (LPI)
• Perform Eddy current testing (ET)
• Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT) / Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI)
• Radiographic Testing (RT) / X-Ray
• Set up and calibrate NDT equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on NDT equipment.
• Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection.
• Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
• Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
• Organize record report and file NDT test results.
• Perform other job tasks as assigned by supervision.
• Maintain an accurate log of applied hours by NDT discipline to support advancement in certification levels and / or methods.
• Pass certification tests in applicable NDT methods to advance skills and position level.
• Operate cranes and vehicles.
