Job Summary

SUMMARY

New LA is seeking a passionate, well-organized Behavior Interventionist who has proven success working with Special Education populations in the primary or middle grades and is seeking a position in a small school environment. Members of the New LA team are deeply invested in the mission, culture, and success of the school, and collaborate with colleagues on many aspects of the school. Hours are roughly 7 : 45 am - 3 : 45 pm daily.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Support an assigned student(s) with an IEP in academic and behavior goals;
• Monitor student behavior and utilize approved behavior management techniques to redirect and modify behaviors;
• Collect data daily, on behaviors and on interventions used, implement documented Behavior Support Plan as instructed by supervisor;
• Monitor, observe, and report behavioral data of students according to approved procedures;
• Support and collaborate with general education teacher in providing accommodations for the assigned student with an IEP;
• Maintain tracking system for student services and service hours;
• Use agreed upon communication protocols to convey information to parents;

Report to Assistant Director of Exceptional Education and support from Behavior Intervention Developer (BID)
