CMM Programmer

Responsibilities & Expectations

• Program and operate Coordinating Measuring Machine (CMM) to perform inspection procedures with software.
• Identify non-conformances based on inspections. Inspect materials to quality standards.
• Verify non-conformances with mechanical inspection.
• Determines acceptance or rejection of products based on requirements.
• Completes all required documentation such as work instructions, audits, product handling, quality reports, non-conforming reports, etc.
• Handle multiple and changing priorities.
• Respond to written and verbal instructions.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Other reasonable duties as business and operational needs dictate.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Able to understand geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics, specifications, and customer documents.
• Experience in surface plate layout and precision mechanical measuring tool use.
• Familiar with hand inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
• Mechanical inspection experience
• Experience programming and operating CMM and mechanical inspection equipment.
• Quality oriented personality.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, time management and follow-up skills.
• Proficient in the use of computers including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Possess a high degree of initiative and be self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision.
