Account Manager Community & Business Relations
Location: Lakeland, Florida
Reports To: Director of Community Relations
Status: Full-Time
Position Summary
The Account Manager Community & Business Relations is responsible for developing, strengthening, and managing strategic relationships with businesses, organizations, and community stakeholders to drive patient acquisition and expand Pineapple Healthcares presence in the Lakeland region. This role requires strong sales acumen, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to build trust and partnerships that increase patient volume and advance our mission of accessible, community-centered healthcare.
The Account Manager will oversee a team of Community Outreach Advocates and will design outreach strategies that include business engagement, HIV testing initiatives, tabling events, and community education opportunities. This position is highly mobile and requires regular travel using a company-issued vehicle.
Key Responsibilities
Business & Stakeholder Relationship Management
- Build, nurture, and manage relationships with local businesses, nonprofits, community leaders, faith-based organizations, and healthcare partners to expand service awareness and attract new patients.
- Conduct regular business visits and maintain a strong, positive presence in the Lakeland community.
- Develop and maintain a portfolio of high-value partners that support patient referrals and outreach initiatives.
- Deliver presentations, service overviews, and partnership proposals to external stakeholders.
Sales & Growth Strategy
- Identify new business opportunities and partnerships to increase patient volume and service utilization.
- Develop and execute targeted sales strategies to promote Pineapple Healthcares services and programs.
- Track conversion metrics, outreach impact, and revenue-driving activities using internal reporting tools.
- Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual growth targets set by leadership.
Outreach & Community Engagement
- Create and manage outreach strategies that increase access to healthcare services, including HIV testing events, community tabling, and educational sessions.
- Oversee scheduling, logistics, and event execution for all community engagement activities.
- Ensure consistent brand representation in the community through high-quality, mission-aligned outreach.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead, train, and support a team of Community Outreach Advocates to meet performance expectations and outreach goals.
- Coordinate daily and weekly activities, providing coaching, development, and accountability.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Community Relations and other internal teams (Marketing, Case Management, Clinical, and HR) to align outreach and partnership strategies.
Compliance & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, business engagement, and partnership outcomes.
- Ensure outreach advocates follow HIPAA, safety, and organizational protocols during all events.
- Provide weekly and monthly performance reports to the Director of Community Relations.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree in business, marketing, communications, public health, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 23 years of experience in account management, business development, sales, or community relations.
- Experience in the healthcare industry or nonprofit community outreach is strongly preferred.
- Supervisory experience or a team leadership background is a plus.

Additional Requirements
- Must be able to commute daily and travel frequently throughout the Lakeland region using a company vehicle.
- A valid Florida drivers license and clean driving record are required.
- Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends for events.
- Ability to lift 2530 lbs. for event setup as needed.
Work Environment
This role involves field-based work within community settings, partner locations, and outreach event sites. Occasional in-office administrative work at Pineapple Healthcares Lakeland location is required.
