About The Position

Job Title : Ultrasound Technologist

Profession : Radiology / Cardiology

Specialty : General Ultrasound

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Monday-Tuesday days, Wednesday nights

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : Minimum 1 year

License : NC or Compact License required at time of start

Certifications : ARDMS, BLS

Must-Have :

• Experience in adult, pediatric, and various ultrasound procedures
• Proficiency with GE equipment and PACS
• Familiarity with EPIC charting system

Description :

The position involves working with a daily census of 20-25 patients.

The schedule includes shifts on Monday and Tuesday from 7 AM to 7 PM and Wednesday from 7 PM to 7 AM.

On-call duty is required.

Weekend work is not mandatory.

The ultrasound department performs a range of examinations, including those for abdominal aorta, appendix, breast, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, spleen, and various obstetric cases.

Skills in paracentesis, thoracentesis, bladder, hernia, ovaries, prostate, renal, bladder, uterus, vaginal, and breast ultrasound are essential.

The candidate should also possess expertise in isolation precautions and handling superficial masses.

Experience with doppler studies and venous examinations is preferred.

The role involves various patient diagnoses and includes working with inpatients, outpatients, and emergency cases.

Special procedures may include paras, thoras, breast biopsies, and fine-needle aspirations.

Candidates must be prepared to float to different units based on skill sets and census as needed.
