A BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Wax Manufacturing Technician is responsible for setting up dies and performing the wax injection molding process according to technical specifications. This role involves hands-on assembly and inspection of wax patterns, and reports directly to the Operations Supervisor.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Set up dies and conduct wax injection molding using detailed tech cards for various products.
- Execute the wax assembly process utilizing tools such as hand-held torches and cleaning equipment.
- Maintaining the integrity of wax patterns through routine cleaning and visual inspections.
- Fabricate gates and complete necessary documentation accurately.
- Develop and refine operational procedures as needed.
- Participate in all required training sessions.
- Adhere to all designated safety protocols and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
- Conduct dimensional inspections using calipers, pin gauges, and other measurement tools.
- Maintain a well-organized and clean work environment, following a 5S system.
- Communicate any equipment or material issues promptly to supervisory personnel.
- Support cross-training efforts within the team.
- Reinforce safety guidelines and ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS).
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
High School or Equivalent (Preferred)EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 1 year prior experience in a manufacturing role (Required)Prior operations experience in a similar field (Preferred)KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS THAT ENABLE SUCCESS
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.Experience using quality inspection and metrology tools.Familiarity with standard operating procedures in a manufacturing context.Basic understanding of Quality Management principles.Strong mathematical skills.Knowledge of manufacturing safety standards.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Effective communication skills and capability to work as part of a team.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
