American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN with at least 2 years of Level II NICU and postpartum care experience for a night shift Neonatal ICU position; CO or compact RN license and NRP certification are required.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a 10-bed Level II NICU within a hospital setting in Northwest Colorado
  • Unit also includes 5 labor rooms and 5 postpartum rooms
  • Care for neonates 32 weeks and older, including postpartum couplets
  • Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19 : 00-07 : 30) on various days of the week
  • Five weekend night shifts required per month
  • On-call responsibilities as needed per unit requirements
  • Floating to like units required; independent work in NICU and postpartum care expected
  • Epic EMR is utilized
  • RN must be able to work independently in the NICU and provide care for postpartum couplets during low census
  • First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment
  • No blocked scheduling requests permitted
  • Only 10 days of requested time off (RTO) are allowed per 13-week contract, and RTO is not permitted during specified blackout dates
  • Candidates must secure housing before consideration
  • Pre-employment online modules and in-person orientation required

    • Requirements

  • Active CO or compact RN license required
  • Minimum of 2 years recent Level II NICU experience
  • Experience in newborn transition nursing and postpartum care required
  • Current NRP certification required; STABLE preferred
  • Must not have been employed by UCHealth or its affiliates within the past two years
