Job descriptionProviding companionship and conversation Performing light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and linen changing Planning and preparing meals Providing medication reminders Providing transportation to and from appointments / errands. Helping family members learn safe care techniques Establish good relationships with clients along with providing emotional support. Interact, communicate clearly, and encourage activities with the elderly. Observe & report any changes with the client immediately to the supervisor. Preferably one year plus experience working in the home care industry. Demonstrates professionalism, Positive Attitude, and sincere interest in elderly clients. Ability to treat clients with dignity and respect Ability to interpret the clients provided plan of care Valid drivers license and reliable transportation Ability to be flexible and adapt to new situations Tolerance to small pets (i.e. dogs or cats) Must be able to be reached via phone or email for shift schedules, client updates, and emergencies Prior experience with dementia patients and senior care, a plus!
