Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide essential support to individuals with varying needs. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily living activities and promoting their independence. Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Implement behavior management techniques to promote positive interactions and reduce challenging behaviors.
• Monitor and record vital signs as necessary, ensuring the health and well-being of clients.
• Provide support in memory care activities, encouraging cognitive engagement and social interaction.
• Assist clients with mobility needs, including heavy lifting when required, ensuring safety during transfers.
• Drive clients to appointments or community activities as needed, maintaining a reliable schedule.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to develop personalized care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and any incidents that occur during shifts.

Qualifications

Previous experience in assisted living or direct support roles is preferred but not mandatory.

Strong understanding of behavior management techniques and conflict resolution skills.

Ability to lift and assist clients with mobility challenges safely.

Familiarity with health monitoring systems and procedures for recording vital signs is an advantage.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members.

A valid driver's license is required for transportation duties.
