ER RN Job Details – Chicago Healthcare Contract Location : Chicago, IL 60612 (West Side) Job Title : Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) Assignment Type : Travel Nursing Contract Healthcare Facility : Level 1 Trauma Center Unit : Emergency Services Start Date : December 9, 2025 End Date : March 10, 2026 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 3x12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM) Hours per Week : 36 Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend (2 weekends per month) Floating : Mandatory float within facility and to other units within 50 miles as needed Charting System : Cerner EMR Scrub Color : Navy Blue (not provided) Estimated Weekly Salary : $1910 - $1960 Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in an Emergency Department Active Illinois RN license (required at submission) BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (no COVID exemptions; flu exemptions for medical / religious reasons only) Experience with Cerner charting preferred Willingness to float as needed Ability to work every other weekend Strong communication and critical thinking skills ER Nurse Responsibilities Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care in a fast-paced environment Perform triage, assessment, and treatment for patients with acute and emergent conditions Manage arterial lines, central lines, IV vasopressors, ventilated patients, and continuous IV sedation Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and dysrhythmias Implement isolation precautions and manage multisystem organ dysfunction / failure Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes Float to other nursing units within scope as required Document all patient care accurately in Cerner EMR Apply now to join our healthcare team and take the next step in your travel nursing career with this Emergency Room Registered Nurse job in Chicago, IL!
