Technical Writer

you will make an impact as the primary point of contact for all legal domain-related queries and issues. You will be a valued member of the team and work collaboratively with management, team members and client.

Role & Responsibilities

Understand and adhere to department style and process guidelines

Understand product development methodologies in an Agile environment

Foster and maintain positive working relationships with other team members and key stakeholders

Research and document new and updated features for Visa Risk Manager and the Compromised Account Management System products

Improve existing documentation

Attend project meetings create schedules and report progress on a regular basis

Collaborate with developers designers product managers and customer support to ensure accuracy and quality of documentation to contribute to a positive user experience

Required Skills

6+ years of writing in a publishing environment

Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

Knowledge of eCommerce applications or the payments industry

Basic understanding of APIs and XML is preferred

Familiarity with technical writing tools such as MadCap Flare Oxygen XML or similar. Experience with version control systems like Git

Experience with DITA documentation and XML documentation tools

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The annual salary for this position is between $47,975 – $115,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
