Position Summary :
The CNC Operator is responsible for loading parts into the CNC machine carousel, operating the machine, and stacking finished parts. The operator also handles scrap metal removal and ensures all work is performed safely, accurately, and in compliance with company and OSHA standards. This role requires standing during the shift and performing physical tasks as needed.
Shift : 2nd or 3rd shift!
Key Responsibilities :
Load parts individually into the CNC machine carousel and remove finished parts, stacking them into tubs.
Empty scrap metal from the machine and clean the conveyor; scrape metal shavings as needed and empty tubs into a hopper.
Perform quality checks on parts using micrometers, calipers, or other measuring tools.
Document production and quality activities in logs accurately.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with company and OSHA standards.
Interact professionally with internal and external customers.
Maintain a positive work environment through effective communication and teamwork.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements / Qualifications :
Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and turning.
Ability to identify defective parts.
Use of proper PPE at all times to safely perform tasks.
Availability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as needed.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Basic math skills.
Familiarity with computers.
Physical Demands :
Standing for extended periods.
Lifting up to 10 lbs. of scrap material.
Working in varying physical positions as needed.
Working Conditions :
Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, metal shavings, and moving machinery.
PPE required in accordance with company safety standards.
