Diesel Mechanic

Tandem Specialized Inc is looking for a heavy-duty diesel mechanic for our facility in Grayling, Michigan. Our business deals with semi-trucks and flatbed trailers with lift axles and sliding tarp systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in diagnosing, maintaining, and performing PM services on similar equipment. We expect staff to keep a clean and safe work area while helping to maintain the facilities. This position will be full-time, Monday-Friday (5 days a week) with an average of 40+ hours per week with the ability to work overtime as permitted. Afternoon shifts and / or Saturday work may be available or required. The right candidate will work well as a team, and / or independently, and maintain a positive attitude.

• Job Requirements :
• Must be able to pass drug and alcohol screening.

• Must help with building and grounds maintenance.
• Required knowledge :
• Diesel Engines, PM’s, Oil Changes,
• Truck & Trailer FED inspections
• Truck and Trailer electrical wiring
• Air brake / suspension systems
• Drum and Disc Brakes
• Tires (Standard & Wide-Based)
• CDL-A (preferred, not required) or willingness to obtain

Pay : $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
