Job Description & Requirements Specialty : LDRP - Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum Discipline : RN Start Date : ASAP Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, days Employment Type : Travel Position : RN – Labor & Delivery / Postpartum / Well-Baby Nursery Shift : 12-hour Days (7 AM – 7 PM) Guaranteed Hours : 36 per week Unit Details Unit Type : Combined L&D, Well-Baby Nursery, and Postpartum Beds : 10 total Deliveries : 30–40 per month Ratios : L&D : 1 : 1–2 (per AWHONN guidelines) Postpartum : 1 : 4 couplets Common Diagnoses / Patients : High-risk deliveries (≥35 weeks) Twins Drug-exposed newborns requiring withdrawal protocol Occasional post-op GYN surgery patients Additional Notes : Must be comfortable independently running and managing deliveries. Teamwork-oriented environment. RNs do not scrub C-sections – OR staff covers this. Requirements Certifications (all required) : BLS NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) ACLS AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM) NCC Certified Inpatient OB (RNC-OB) Experience : Must have both postpartum and L&D experience Must be confident in delivery management Support & Staffing Charge Nurse : Yes – also takes patient assignment Nurse Aides : No OB Coverage : 4 OB / GYNs 2 midwives available Neonatologist : Not in-house (must be available 24 / 7) Hospitalist : Must be available 24 / 7 RT : Available 24 / 7 Pharmacy : On-site only 10 hours / day; on-call coverage afterward Equipment & Systems EMR : Cerner Fetal Monitoring : Fetal Link (Phillips telemetry) Scheduling & Orientation Shifts : 12 hrs, 7 AM – 7 PM Self-scheduling : Partial (final schedule balanced by manager, posted 30–45 days in advance) Call : Optional (not required, available if desired) Orientation : 2–3 days Floating Policy Float within the combined L&D / PP / WBN unit Job ID 17092969. . . . . .
