Job Summary :
The Field Mechanic is responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance, repair, and functionality of construction equipment and machinery at job sites.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Conducts regular inspections and preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment.
- Diagnoses and troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to determine the root cause of equipment malfunctions.
- Performs on-site repairs and overhauls on construction machinery to ensure prompt resolution of issues and minimal disruption to project timelines.
- Orders and replaces defective parts, components, or systems and document all repairs and replacements for future reference.
- Collaborates with construction crews and operators to provide technical support, guidance, and training on maintenance best practices.
- Communicates effectively with project managers and supervisors regarding equipment status, repair timelines, and potential issues.
- Maintains accurate records of equipment maintenance schedules, repairs, and inspections.
- Generates reports on equipment conditions, highlighting potential risks and suggesting proactive measures.
- Adheres to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Conduct safety inspections on equipment and report any safety concerns or violations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

High school diploma or equivalent required.Certification from a vocational school or trade school is preferred.At least two years of experience in a related role is required.Physical Requirements :
Prolonged periods of standing and walking.Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach clean, and service machinery.Must be able to visually inspect machines.Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
