Security Guard - Unarmed Government Patrols

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Government Patrols in Jamaica, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations to help create a secure environment for all visitors and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service through strong communication. Pay Rate : $21.70 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Mon 04 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM

Tue 04 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM

Wed 04 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM

Sat 04 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM

Sun 04 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activities, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and observations as required by site protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and emergency personnel as needed.
  • Support Allied Universal in upholding client expectations and site-specific requirements in a government setting.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
