The HR Specialist will play a vital part in supporting the company Human Resources functions. This is an associate-level position which requires a collaborative mindset and a willingness to take on a variety of projects as they arise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the onboarding process for new hires, including documentation, system setup, and orientation coordination
- Manage offboarding procedures, including final pay, benefits wrap-up, and exit documentation
- Facilitate benefits enrollment and respond to employee benefit inquiries
- Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in the payroll systems
- Serve as a liaison between hiring managers and DOT consultants to ensure the proper paperwork is completed to ensure DOT compliance.
- Work closely with the accounting team to validate payroll general ledger account balances each month
- Collaborating with other departments on cross-functional projects and HR initiatives
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in human resources
- Proficiency in payroll software systems, ADP Workforce Now, is a PLUS
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Team-oriented with a flexible, can-do attitude and strong interpersonal skills
- Must have advanced skills with Microsoft 365, with strong knowledge of Excel
